Brief Biography
Originally from , London, after studying Fine Art at Gloucestershire and Birmingham
College of Art I taught in high school for eight years in UK and then Sydney Australia.
From 2004 - 2005 I lived in Cape Town, South Africa and became entranced by the South
African landscape and the vibrant creativity of indigenous art and craftwork.
More recently I lived and worked back in the UK for two years tutoring adults in painting
and drawing through government and private education centres.
I now live in Kiama Downs, New South Wales, close to the beach.
My work is inspired by the environment around me, its colours, textures and constantly
changes surfaces. As a medium I prefer acrylic paint or oils but occasionally experiment with
pastels to exploit their rich colours and potential for expressive mark making.
